How to send USDT (Tether) from Jordan abroad safely
In short
To send Tether (USDT) to someone outside Jordan, you need their wallet address and the network they use (TRC20 or BEP20); then you send a small test amount from your wallet and check the whole address before sending the rest. Blockchain transfers cannot be undone, so keep the transaction ID (TxID) and check it on a block explorer; and remember that CliQ cannot send money abroad, but you can use it to buy USDT with dinars inside Jordan first.

How do I send USDT to someone outside Jordan?
You send Tether (USDT) abroad from wallet to wallet on a blockchain, not through a bank. You might do this to support family in another country, or to pay a freelancer or supplier abroad who asks to be paid in USDT.
You hold USDT in your wallet in Jordan and send it to the receiver’s address on the network they use. It becomes final in about a minute or less, depending on the network. The dinars themselves cannot leave through CliQ, which works only inside Jordan and only in Jordanian dinars, but you can use CliQ to buy the USDT first.
Where do I get USDT in Jordan before sending?
Buy it with dinars, on the same network you will send on later, so you never need to swap networks.
- Sign up on Vexjo. Sign-up is by invitation: the app asks for an invite code, which you can request from the Vexjo team on WhatsApp.
- Choose “Buy”, the amount, and the network that matches your wallet address: TRC20 if it starts with T, BEP20 if it starts with 0x. Follow the steps in the app.
- Pay with CliQ inside the app. Vexjo’s team confirms your payment, then USDT goes to your wallet automatically.

No extra fees: the price you see is what you pay, and on TRC20 the network fee (now 2 JD) is already in the JOD price. The platform takes 5–5,000 USDT per order (selling from 10 USDT); any larger size goes through Vexjo’s OTC desk.
The USDT lands in your own wallet, so the test transfer stays in your hands. No wallet yet? Read the USDT wallet guide. Full buying steps: how to buy USDT in Jordan.
What do I need from the receiver before sending?
Two things, together: the wallet address and the network name (for example TRC20 on TRON, or BEP20 on BNB Smart Chain). Get both in a written message you can copy, not a photo or a voice note.
If the address comes from a new account or an unknown number, confirm it with the receiver another way, such as a call. The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) says scammers pretend to be government agencies or well-known companies, and treats anyone who demands crypto payment or guarantees profits as a red flag.
If the receiver uses a trading platform, they should check that it accepts USDT on the network they chose.
Which network is better for sending: TRC20 or BEP20?
The right network is the one the receiver asks for. A TRON address does not work on BNB Smart Chain, and the other way round.
| TRC20 (TRON) | BEP20 (BNB Smart Chain) | |
|---|---|---|
| Address | Starts with T, 34 characters | Starts with 0x, 42 characters |
| Token issuer | Tether, listed officially | Not Tether: a pegged token BscScan shows as BSC-USD |
| Fee paid in | Energy and Bandwidth; if short, TRX is burned | BNB |
| Final after | About a minute, usually | About a second in most cases |
| Explorer | Tronscan | BscScan |
About BEP20: Tether’s list of supported networks shows no USDT contract on BNB Smart Chain. “USDT BEP20” is a dollar-pegged token issued by another company. The timing figures come from the TRON and BNB Chain docs as read on 24 October 2026 and can change. Full comparison: TRC20 or BEP20?.
Do I need TRX or BNB to send USDT?
In most cases, yes. On TRON a USDT transfer uses Energy, and if your account lacks it, some TRX is burned to pay. On BNB Smart Chain the fee (gas) is paid in BNB. Without the right coin you may be unable to send, even with a USDT balance.
We give no fee amounts, because they change with network conditions. Check the fee your wallet shows before you confirm; a test transfer means paying it twice.
What are the steps to send USDT abroad?
- Get the address and network from the receiver in writing, and confirm them.
- Have USDT on the same network in your wallet.
- Have the fee coin ready: TRX for TRON, BNB for BNB Smart Chain.
- Paste the address and check all of it: choose USDT, then “Send”, pick the same network, paste, and compare the start, middle and end with the receiver’s message.
- Send a small test amount and wait for the receiver to confirm it arrived.
- Send the rest to the same address on the same network.
- Keep the transaction ID (TxID), check it on the explorer, and share it with the receiver.
The test costs one extra fee, but it catches a wrong address or network before the whole amount is gone.
How do I check the address before I press “Send”?
Watch out for “address poisoning”: a scammer sends a tiny amount from an address that looks like one you used before, hoping you copy it from your history next time. Check the whole address, including the middle, and copy it only from the receiver’s message or a contact you saved yourself.
| Before you press “Send” | Why |
|---|---|
| Address and network came in writing from the receiver | You copy from a trusted source |
| Your wallet’s network matches theirs | T… addresses do not work on BEP20 (0x…) |
| You checked start, middle and end | Fakes can match the start and end |
| You did not copy from your history | History can hold lookalike addresses |
| You hold TRX or BNB for the fee | Otherwise you may not be able to send |
| A test amount arrived | It catches mistakes early |
| The receiver knows how to cash out | So the money does not get stuck |

How do I check the transfer on Tronscan or BscScan?
Copy the TxID from your wallet and paste it into Tronscan (TRC20) or BscScan (BEP20). Check that the status is successful, that the receiving address matches exactly, and that the token is real USDT: on TRON, compare its contract address with Tether’s official list, because fake tokens also use the name.
TRON makes a block about every 3 seconds; a transaction is irreversible once at least 19 different Super Representatives have produced blocks at or above it, usually about a minute, and TRON’s docs advise waiting for this on exchange deposits. BNB Smart Chain’s docs give 0.45-second blocks and “fast finality” in about 1.125 seconds in most cases. If the explorer shows success but the receiver’s platform has not credited it yet, it may still be waiting for that confirmation.
How does the receiver turn USDT into their local currency?
USDT in a wallet is not cash yet. The receiver needs a way to sell it for their own currency, and rules differ by country. FATF standards require countries to license or register virtual-asset service providers, so the receiver should use one licensed or registered where they live.
Ask them before you send which network their provider accepts and whether there is a minimum. Under the FATF “Travel Rule”, providers must collect and pass on sender and receiver information with each transfer, so they may be asked where the money came from. In the FATF survey published on 16 July 2026, 91 of 109 jurisdictions (83%) had passed Travel Rule laws.
Is sending USDT abroad allowed in Jordan?
As of 24 October 2026, we found no Central Bank of Jordan or Jordan Securities Commission statement specific to sending crypto abroad. What the official sources say:
| Source | What it says |
|---|---|
| Law No. (14) of 2025, Articles 3 and 4 | Covers virtual-asset services provided in Jordan for others, including transferring virtual assets from one address or account to another |
| Same law, Article 8 | Providers are reporting entities under the anti-money-laundering law, must get data on the parties to each transfer, and virtual-asset transfers count as cross-border operations for this purpose |
| Same law, Article 10 | Providers may not use virtual assets, or help others use them, to pay inside Jordan unless the Central Bank allows it |
| FATF, 16 July 2026 | The Travel Rule requires providers to pass on sender and receiver information |
As of 23 October 2026, no company holds a virtual-asset service provider (VASP) licence from the Jordan Securities Commission. On 22 September 2026 the JSC stated that no VASP is licensed by it and that applications are still under review. Our check of the JSC website on 24 October 2026 found no newer announcement.
Vexjo applied under Jordan’s virtual-asset law (application no. VASP-20260328-25) and in June 2026 became the first company to complete all of the Jordan Securities Commission’s licensing requirements. Details: is USDT legal in Jordan?.
What if I sent to the wrong address or the wrong network?
A blockchain transfer cannot be cancelled. The FTC says crypto payments typically are not reversible, and TRON’s docs call a final transaction irreversible. Still, try this:
- Open the TxID on the explorer to see where the money went.
- If the address belongs to someone you know, ask them to send it back.
- If it reached the receiver’s platform on a network the platform does not support, the receiver should contact its support with the TxID; whether it can help is up to the platform.
- Ignore anyone offering to “recover” it for a fee: the FBI (IC3) warns this is a trick to rob victims twice.
- If you were scammed, report it to the Cybercrime Unit on 911, as the Jordan Securities Commission advises.
Frequently asked questions
Can I send money abroad with CliQ?
No. CliQ is for local transfers inside Jordan, in Jordanian dinars only. You can use it to buy USDT with dinars inside Jordan, then send the USDT from your wallet to the receiver's address abroad.
Which network should I use to send USDT abroad, TRC20 or BEP20?
Use the network the receiver asks for, because an address on one network does not work on the other. A TRC20 (TRON) address starts with T, and a BEP20 address starts with 0x.
How long does it take for USDT to arrive?
According to each network's docs, a TRON transaction is usually final after about a minute, and a BNB Smart Chain transaction in about a second in most cases. It can show up later in the receiver's account if their platform waits for that confirmation before crediting it.
Can I cancel a USDT transfer after sending it?
No. A blockchain transfer cannot be undone once it is final, and no one reverses it for you. That is why you send a small test amount first and check the whole address every time.
Is sending USDT abroad allowed in Jordan?
As of 24 October 2026 we found no Central Bank of Jordan or Jordan Securities Commission statement specific to sending crypto abroad. Law No. 14 of 2025 treats virtual-asset transfers as cross-border operations for anti-money-laundering purposes and requires service providers to collect data on the parties to each transfer.
What does the receiver abroad need?
A wallet on the same network you send on, and a way to sell USDT for their local currency if they want cash, such as a provider licensed or registered for this in their country. Rules differ from country to country, so they should check before you send.
Someone offers to recover USDT I sent by mistake, for a fee. Should I trust them?
No. The FBI has warned about scammers who claim they can recover lost money, only to rob the victim a second time. In Jordan you can report fraud to the Cybercrime Unit on 911.
