How do I turn USDT into cash in Jordan?

“Cash” means dinar notes in your hand, or dinars in your bank account to withdraw when you like. Vexjo offers three ways to turn Tether (USDT) into cash:

Route How you get the dinars Size How to start
Vexjo’s OTC desk: cash Dinars in cash, in your hand Any size Contact the Vexjo team on WhatsApp
Vexjo’s OTC desk: bank transfer Bank transfer (IBAN) to your account Any size Contact the Vexjo team on WhatsApp
The Vexjo app By CliQ to your bank account 10 to 5,000 USDT per order, as many orders as you need Sign up on Vexjo and choose “Sell”

To sell in the app, every step is in how to sell USDT in Jordan. This page is about cash: when it fits, how to ask for it, and how to stay safe face to face.

When is Vexjo’s OTC desk the right choice?

The OTC desk handles deals outside the app. It fits three cases:

  • You want dinars in cash, not in your bank account.
  • You want a bank transfer (IBAN) rather than CliQ. One reason: a single CliQ transfer is capped at JD 10,000, and each bank may set a lower or daily limit, according to JoPACC.
  • Your amount is large. In the app one order goes up to 5,000 USDT; through the OTC desk, any size.

Face-to-face trading is where Vexjo started: trading USDT for Jordanian dinars since 2016, in person and on WhatsApp first, online platform since 2019.

How do I ask Vexjo for cash or a bank transfer?

  1. Contact the Vexjo team on WhatsApp. Say you want to sell through the OTC desk, the amount, the network (TRC20 or BEP20), and whether you want cash or a bank transfer (IBAN).
  2. Agree on everything first, in writing in that chat: the price, the final amount in dinars, and how and when the hand-over happens.
  3. Stay in the official channel. Ignore instructions from any other number or account.
  4. For cash, follow the rules below: count before you send, and never send USDT before the cash is in your hand.

Ask the team directly about practical details such as where and when to meet. The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) warns that scammers pretend to be well-known companies, so always start from the official link, not a number posted in a group.

When is selling in the app simpler than cash?

If dinars in your bank account are enough, the app is usually simpler:

  • No meeting, and no cash to carry.
  • Vexjo is open 24/7. Your USDT is checked on the blockchain automatically, then Vexjo sends your dinars.
  • In the app, payments go through CliQ, which runs 24/7 and moves money between accounts in Jordan instantly, according to JoPACC.
  • Need cash later? Withdraw it from your bank.

For example, selling 500 USDT in the app gets you 341 JD right now (last update 13:03 Amman time). Steps: how to sell USDT in Jordan.

Is the cash price different from the app price?

The app price is live: selling 1 USDT on a 1,000 USDT order pays 0.685 JD right now, and the full table for every amount is on USDT price today. Vexjo adds no other fees on top of the price you see.

For the OTC desk price, ask the Vexjo team before you agree; do not assume it matches the app price or differs from it. Either way it is a market price, not an official exchange rate: the Central Bank of Jordan publishes the official exchange rates for currencies.

How do I do a face-to-face cash deal safely?

In a cash deal you carry money, and one side must go first. These rules protect you:

Do Don’t
Deal only with a known business, contacted through its official channel Don’t follow strangers from Facebook, Telegram or Instagram groups
Agree on the price, amount and network in writing before you meet Don’t accept last-minute changes to the deal
Count the cash yourself before you send USDT Don’t send USDT before the cash is in your hand
Copy the receiving address carefully and check all of it: start, middle and end Don’t copy from your wallet history: a wallet maker’s safety guide warns that scammers plant lookalike addresses there (“address poisoning”)

On 4 January 2026 the Jordan Securities Commission warned about companies luring people with “fantasy profits” in foreign markets or virtual assets through social media and misleading ads. It also republished a Cybercrime Unit warning that fake trading platforms advertised on social media, often run from abroad, make getting money back almost impossible. On 14 October 2026 the Public Security Directorate urged people to avoid unverified pages and to check before sending money electronically.

Can I buy USDT and pay in cash?

Yes, through Vexjo’s OTC desk, which works by bank transfer (IBAN) or cash. Now the risk flips: do not hand over cash until real USDT has arrived in your wallet:

  • Look up the transaction on Tronscan (TRC20) or BscScan (BEP20).
  • Check the contract address, not the name: for TRC20 against Tether’s official list; for BEP20 against the “BSC-USD” token page on BscScan.
  • Watch out for “flash USDT”: ZeroFox describes these as fake tokens that disappear shortly after they arrive in a wallet, used in buy and sell scams.

More checks are in the USDT safety checklist.

How do I check the money has arrived before I finish the deal?

What you receive How to check What is not proof
Cash Count it yourself before you send USDT A promise to pay the rest later
Bank transfer or CliQ Open your banking app and check the amount was added to your balance A screenshot or a message from the other side
USDT Look up the transaction on Tronscan or BscScan and check the contract address A balance shown on the other person’s phone, or a picture of it

Under JoPACC’s CliQ FAQ, the sender cannot recall a CliQ transfer on their own; their bank may only try an amicable return after a mistake. What matters is the money in your own account, not a picture.

Paying by CliQ yourself? Your bank’s app shows the recipient’s full name before you confirm; make sure it is the business you agreed with.

What do I do if I am scammed in a cash deal?

  1. Report it right away to the Public Security Directorate’s Cybercrime Unit on 911, as the Jordan Securities Commission advises.
  2. If you paid by bank transfer or CliQ, contact your bank at once; it may try to get the money back amicably through the recipient’s bank.
  3. Keep everything: chats, numbers, addresses and transaction IDs.
  4. Don’t pay anyone who offers to “recover your money”. The FBI’s IC3 warns of scammers who pretend they can recover stolen funds, to rob the victim a second time.

What is the licensing status today, and what does it mean for a cash deal?

The field is governed by Law No. (14) of 2025, the “Law Regulating Dealing in Virtual Assets of 2025”, which gives virtual-asset service provider licensing only to the Jordan Securities Commission. The licensing process itself is still under way:

  • The licensing regulation is in force: Regulation No. (94) of 2025, the Virtual Asset Service Providers Licensing Regulation, entered into force, as the JSC announced on 15 January 2026.
  • The executive instructions are still a draft: on 15 January 2026 the JSC published a draft of the “Executive Instructions for Virtual Assets Activities for 2026” for public comment, and as of 24 October 2026 no final version appears on the JSC website.

As of 23 October 2026, no company holds a virtual-asset service provider (VASP) licence from the Jordan Securities Commission. On 22 September 2026 the JSC stated that no VASP is licensed by it and that applications are still under review.

Vexjo applied under Jordan’s virtual-asset law (application no. VASP-20260328-25) and in June 2026 became the first company to complete all of the Jordan Securities Commission’s licensing requirements.

What this means for you today

Since the JSC has not issued any licence yet, a licence cannot tell one provider from another today. So before a cash deal, ask about what you can actually check:

What to ask At Vexjo
Is it a registered Jordanian company with a real name and address? Vexjo Virtual Assets LLC is a Jordanian company in Amman.
Has it applied for a licence, and how far has it got? Yes (application no. VASP-20260328-25); details in the paragraph above.
How long has it traded, and how many trades? Trading USDT for Jordanian dinars since 2016, with 10,000+ completed trades since 2016 (in person, WhatsApp and the platform).
Can you reach real people? The Vexjo team on WhatsApp.
What do customers say outside its own site? Vexjo’s Facebook page has been active since January 2022 (first as Osama Coins, now vexjo.com). It carries the Meta Verified badge, and customers have reviewed Vexjo there since January 2022.
Are the prices clear? No extra fees: the price you see is what you pay. For an OTC desk price, agree on it in writing before anything is sent.

Anyone who says today that they are “licensed by the JSC” for virtual assets is making a claim the JSC’s own statement contradicts, so treat it as a red flag. To ask the JSC about a company’s status, use its website (jsc.gov.jo) or call 06 5607171. More: USDT law and licensing in Jordan.
