Can you buy USDT with CliQ in Jordan?

Yes. CliQ is Jordan’s instant payment system, used inside your bank’s app. You pay the seller in dinars by CliQ and receive USDT (Tether) in your wallet.

On Vexjo, for example, the payment method in the app is CliQ; through Vexjo’s OTC desk you can pay by bank transfer (IBAN) or cash.

How do you buy USDT with CliQ, step by step?

  1. Sign up on Vexjo. Sign-up is by invitation: the app asks for an invite code, which you can request from the Vexjo team on WhatsApp.
  2. Choose “Buy”, then the amount and the network. An order is 5–5,000 USDT (selling from 10 USDT), on TRC20 or BEP20 to match your wallet. You see the price in dinars before you confirm.
  3. Pay with CliQ inside the app. Follow the instructions in the app. Before you confirm in your bank app, read the recipient name and check the amount; if anything looks wrong, stop and ask the Vexjo team on WhatsApp.
  4. Wait for the payment check. Vexjo’s team confirms your payment, then USDT goes to your wallet automatically. Vexjo is open 24/7.
  5. Check that the USDT arrived. Open the transaction in your wallet or on a block explorer: Tronscan for TRC20, BscScan for BEP20.

No extra fees: the price you see is what you pay, and on TRC20 the network fee is already in the JOD price (now 2 JD). See today’s USDT price in JD, or the wider guide on how to buy USDT in Jordan.

What is CliQ, and who runs it?

CliQ is owned and run by JoPACC (Jordan Payments and Clearing Company) under Central Bank of Jordan supervision. JoPACC launched it on 10 June 2020, and according to JoPACC’s FAQs every bank in Jordan is on CliQ except Al Rafidain Bank.

Item What it means for you
Who runs it JoPACC, under Central Bank of Jordan supervision
Where Inside Jordan only, in Jordanian dinars only
When 24/7, and transfers arrive instantly
Limit Up to JD 10,000 per transfer; each bank may set a lower or daily limit
Fees Free at banks for now; each bank may set fees
Send to An alias or an IBAN
Before you confirm Your bank app shows the recipient’s full name
After you send The sender cannot pull the transfer back

What is a CliQ alias, and how is it different from an IBAN?

An alias is a nickname, mobile number or email that receives money without sharing an account number. One alias can be linked to accounts at different banks, with one default account for receiving. An IBAN is the full international account number.

Either way, your bank app shows the recipient’s full name before you confirm. An alias does not tell you who owns it; the full name does. If it is not what you expect, do not confirm.

Is a CliQ transfer instant, and are there fees?

Yes. CliQ works 24/7, holidays included, and money moves instantly between bank accounts and wallets in Jordan. That speed also means there is no time to fix a mistake after you confirm, so check three things first: the recipient name, the amount and the account you pay from.

On fees, JoPACC’s FAQs (accessed 24 October 2026) say banks currently offer CliQ free of charge, but each bank may set fees, so check your bank’s terms. Vexjo adds nothing on top of the price you see.

What is the CliQ limit, and what if your order is bigger?

CliQ handles up to JD 10,000 per transfer, and each bank may set a lower limit or a daily limit, so know yours before you order.

For example, buying 5,000 USDT costs 3,650 JD right now (last update 13:03 Amman time). If your bank’s limit is lower, split the purchase into several orders. On Vexjo you can buy up to 5,000 USDT per order in the app, as many orders as you need, and any size through Vexjo’s OTC desk by bank transfer (IBAN) or cash. Other amounts: USDT and JOD calculator.

What if you send the wrong amount or pay the wrong person?

According to JoPACC’s FAQs, there is no right to pull back a sent CliQ transfer: the sender is fully responsible, and the recipient and the bank do not have to return the money. If you make a mistake, contact your bank at once; it may try an amicable return through the recipient’s bank. CliQ also has a “return payment” service, but the recipient’s side uses it.

If the transfer was for a Vexjo order and the amount was wrong, do not send a second transfer to “fix” it; contact the Vexjo team on WhatsApp first.

How is buying from a company different from paying individuals by CliQ?

In social-media groups, sellers often send a CliQ alias in the chat and ask you to pay first. If the USDT never comes, you cannot pull the transfer back, and the recipient and the bank do not have to return it. So read the full name your bank shows before you confirm: is it the business you think you are dealing with, or someone you know nothing about?

As of 23 October 2026, no company holds a virtual-asset service provider (VASP) licence from the Jordan Securities Commission. On 22 September 2026 the JSC stated that no VASP is licensed by it and that applications are still under review. So a licence cannot tell one seller from another today, because no one has one yet. What you can check before you pay: that the seller is a registered Jordanian company with a real name, that the name your bank shows is that company’s name, whether it has applied for a licence and how far its application has got, how long it has traded, and that there are real people you can reach. To ask the JSC about a particular company’s status, use its website or call 06 5607171.

As for Vexjo: it applied under Jordan’s virtual-asset law (application no. VASP-20260328-25) and in June 2026 became the first company to complete all of the Jordan Securities Commission’s licensing requirements. If you sell to someone paying by CliQ, send USDT only once the money is in your account; a screenshot is not proof. Before any deal, go through the USDT safety checklist.

How long does USDT take to arrive after you pay?

On Vexjo the team confirms your payment, then USDT goes to your wallet automatically, 24/7. After it is sent, the network needs a short time: TRON makes a block about every 3 seconds, and a transaction becomes final after about a minute.

If it does not show, check your wallet is on the right network, then ask the Vexjo team on WhatsApp.

Can you sell USDT and receive dinars?

Yes. To sell, you send USDT to the address the app shows you; its arrival is checked on the blockchain automatically, then Vexjo sends your dinars. In the app: CliQ; through Vexjo’s OTC desk: bank transfer (IBAN) or cash. Follow the steps in the app, and see how to sell USDT in Jordan.

What are the common CliQ mistakes, and how do you avoid them?

Mistake What happens How to avoid it
A typo in the alias The money may reach someone else, with no way to pull it back Read the full name your bank shows
Not reading the name the bank shows You pay the wrong person Confirm only when the name matches
The wrong amount It lands as sent and does not match your order Copy the amount from the app; if wrong, contact the seller before paying again
Paying a stranger’s alias from a chat If no USDT comes, the money is hard to recover Deal with a seller you know, and check that the name your bank shows is theirs
Hitting your bank’s limit The transfer is rejected or incomplete Know your limit; split into several orders
Paying again because the app is slow You may pay twice Check your transfer history first
A network that does not match your wallet USDT may reach an address you cannot use TRC20 addresses start with T, BEP20 with 0x (TRC20 vs BEP20)
Paying from abroad or in another currency It fails: CliQ is Jordan and JD only Pay from a Jordanian JD account
